MOJA ZGODBA

- Prvi so spomeniki s področja bivše Jugoslavije. Fotografije so bile posnete leta 2011.
Fotografije so posnete leta 2010.
- Sledijo fotografije slovenskih spomenikov. Fotografije so bile posnete leta 2011, le fotografije Bolnice Franje pred uničujočo povodnjo so bile posnete leta 2004.
- Sledijo fotografije slovenskih spomenikov posnete leta 2012.
- Sledijo fotografije slovenskih spomenikov posnete leta 2013.
Delite s svojimi prijatelji.
Pri ogledu ne pozabite na "starejše" objave.
MY STORY
I have always been interested in history. It all actually started in 2003, when we were on vacation in Normandy, with our rented motorhome. A series of photographs related to the Allied invasion of Normandy on the famous D day was created.
This is my first photographic encounter with this topic. This next set of Atlantic Wall also includes photos from Brittany and Nordkinn. During my travels, I also photographed accidentally discovered monuments in Norway, crossing the Arctic Circle and the capital of Estonia – Tallinn.
During my different travels over the years, I collected quite a few photos concerning this topic. I have always been focusing a little bit more on the second world war period.
Of course, I also photograph other things on my journeys, but I have decided that my blog remains thematic. Thus different kinds of monuments in Slovenia, other area of former Yugoslavia and abroad will be collected in one place.
The blog is organized accordingly. Each monument is presented individually within its set, for better transperency. Each set has a textual introduction at the top, as a separate publication. Allow me to describe the order of sets, from the bottom up.
- First are the monuments from the area of former Yugoslavia. Photos were taken in 2011.
- Following set is from the southern part of the former Soviet Union (Kiev, Kursk, Stalingrad). These photographs were taken in 2010.
- Next is the first set of Slovenian monuments. Photos were taken in 2011, except for Partisan Hospital Frania photos before the destructive floods, which were taken in 2004.
- Next set are the photos of Slovenian monuments, taken in 2012.
- New Year's milestone is celebrated with photographs of monuments from Graz in Austria and the Croatian island of Krk.
- The following set are the photos of Slovenian monuments, taken in 2013.
- New Year's milestone is celebrated with photographs of monuments from abroad.
- The following set are the photos of monuments, which are still being added.

While you are on this blog, do not forget about the "older" posts.
I am interested in visiting ther Orehovica area of Senjernej. My family left there around 1900-1910 to settle in the USA. Their name was Prhne, until they found need to change it in America. Now, many things are different and I would like to see where they made their lives. Is there still standing a Catholic Church in your town? Thank you!
OdgovoriIzbrišiYour are Welcome. We have a catholic church in our town.
